Insulation=Warmth

Ben took two weekends to do the insulation, a messy and unpleasant job because of the fiberglass material that breaks loose and floats around in the air. It was cold and snowy as well so the windows and doors were shut, making it a mini fiberglass chamber with no outlet for these little hairs. We decided it would not be a good environment for me in my current condition (pregnant, for those of you who don't know) so it was Ben Solo (kind of like the Han Solo of insulation). Below is his handiwork- Quite a tidy job he did. It makes a big difference already.

Here's scary Hazmat Man in his paper suit and latex gloves. He also had a hat, goggles and a face mask. Still, he said the strip of forehead that was exposed got raw and itchy from this awful stuff.

The snowy view from the sliding glass doors on the North side of the house:

Early morning sunrise in the East:
When will spring arrive???

Next is the vapor barrier: thick plastic covering all the insulation on the outside walls...
